PTF No.: T380B165
If a dump dataset is mistakenly created on DASD, it may be deleted after cancelling WTRJUTL or WTRSUTL.

REGISTERED DATE: 2012/04/12
CATEGORY: Utility
CONDITION: When a dump dataset output by ALOGJDMP, ALOGDMP2, or ALOGLDMP utility is mistakenly created on DASD instead of Tape, and WTRJUTL or WTRSUTL is executed without DDIN DD statement.
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

When conditions are met, WTRJUTL or WTRJUTL falls in wait status. After cancelling the job, the dump dataset on DASD is deleted. This is because WTRJUTL or WTRSUTL dynamically allocates the dataset with DISP=(SHR,DELETE,DELETE). If the dataset is on a tape, it is not deleted regardless the DISP parameter.

TEMPORARY ACTION:

Output the dump dataset on Tape.

PROBLEM CONCLUSION: The programs are changed to dynamically allocate the dataset with DISP=(SHR,KEEP,KEEP).
