In 1977, UNIRITA (formaly BSP and Beacon Information Technology) helped establish the Beacon Users' Club to promote technological exchange among users as well as the management and staff of both companies. Membership in the club has reached 300 companies, of a wide variety of business types and technological levels. Through the activities of this club, the members enjoy the opportunity to exchange current IT market information and to discuss problems that arise in their daily IT operation. Our customers also acquire much information about our current and new products and services. We endorse and support the formation of the Club to ensure active communication between our customers and our product development and support people.
Throughout the year, 40 different research groups conduct a variety of dynamic research related to IT and business to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information. The results of each research group's activities are presented and demonstrated at the Beacon Users' Symposium, a three-day event held in March of each year. More than 600 people participate in this symposium, the culmination of the Users' Club's activities for the past year.
